1.- Who is Asun and how did she get into the world of decoration?
Asun Antó. I am an interior designer and photographer.
2.- How did the idea of opening Coton et Bois come up?
I spent several years working in a production company for different TV channels and after several years in Madrid I moved to Barcelona where I decided to set up my own studio "Coton et bois".
3.- What style characterizes you and what is your hallmark?
Timeless, warm and cozy
My hallmark is to create cozy environments.
4.- Bedrooms, and especially beds, are one of the strong points in a house. What are the most important requirements a when creating this environment?
The light and above all very natural fabrics like Manuela's: linens, cottons, very natural fibers and very neutral colors.
5.- The table is a moment of reunion, whether with friends or family. What is always present at the table of Asun?
A good table is always well set with fantastic tableware, glassware and cutlery and natural flowers.
6.- What object of your home do you keep with more affection and why?
A desk from my grandfather and a set of dishes from my Czechoslovakian mother. It always makes me remember the unforgettable moments of my childhood.
7.- In textiles, do you like to mix tenderness and materials or do you prefer to opt for one and be more conservative in the design?
I love the mix of linens and cottons, and in a given moment mix it with silks or velvets.
8.- What caught your attention in Lo de Manuela?
Their fabrics are wonderful, very authentic and their designs make them very exclusive.
9.- What object from our collections would enter in your home to stay forever?
The limoges tableware.
10.- If we had to travel to a country to be inspired by to Manuela, where would you take us?
French Provence and Marrakech.
