A table for Valentine's Day

A table for Valentine's Day

Who said that napkins have only one function? We decided to play with the elements and use one of our Karenina napkins as a place mat. In addition, Limoges porcelain becomes the key ingredient to frame this Valentine's Day table.

Valentine's Day as Valentine's Day is believed to have two origins: on the one hand it derives from the Roman feast of Lupercalia, a festival celebrated to promote health and fertility, and on the other from Emperor Claudius II's prohibition of soldiers to marry, as it was believed that bachelors were better warriors. St. Valentine opposed this idea and practiced secret marriages, which ended up costing him his life.
